They couldn't change it to another day? Showing it on 'April Fool's Day' seems to be a bit disrespectful!

It couldn't be any other day besides April 1st, huh.

I assume its because its the GH premiere anniversary. April 1, 1963

It would be more disrespectful if they ignored her death and didn't schedule anything to observe her passing or the legacy of her work on the show. A lot of people don't even pay attention to April Fools Day, it's certainly not a national holiday. And like someone else said, the first episode of GH was broadcast on April 1st...probably because it was the start of the second quarter and easier to track ratings by starting it at the beginning of the month.

The fact they can do a tribute, have it done and dusted in a day, shows the minor impact she had on the show in recent years. When Jeanne Cooper died, and her death was written into Y&R, it generated almost a year of new storylines for the characters in her orbit. Probably with the current version of the Quartermaines, they will do this one-day tribute, then Monica won't be mentioned again until Thanksgiving or Christmas.

More than Stu Damon got.

I hope it’s better than Gayle’s “Wild goose chase”.

And yes, poor Stuart Damon still gets nothing than a 60 second clip at the end of a show. Horrible.

This is not the Monica tribute which is happening later.

ok i was wondering about that because Monica would have to die on todays episode for that to make sense.

She was still alive when the tribute airing tomorrow was filmed.
