Does Julian ever see Leo? I don't remember if there was a custody agreement between Julian and Olivia F. Are we to assume he see Leo off screen?

I thought it was a mutual agreement that Julian would stay away.

What bothered me was that Julian didn't donate more bone narrow to store for Danny in case Danny's cancer returned. He thinks he's going to get killed, so why not.

They addressed this ages ago, Jason can donate the bone marrow.

More or less. When Leo was in the hospital, Ned asked Julan if he would like to see Leo, Julian said 'no' and then thanked Ned and said that he thinks Ned would be a good father to Leo. Although unspoken, the clear implication was that Julian was agreeing to stay away and allow Ned to raise Leo.

Jason 's affiliation with Sonny makes him high risk for getting killed . Julian should donate the bone marrow not only because Danny might need it some day, but because it woukd be a gesture of good will towards his family.

He already banked more bone marrow years ago. Just how much do you want him to give?

I thought he had refused to bank his marrow for insurance that Sonny wouldn't kill him. If that changed, I must have missed it, I've missed some episodes.

That's how I remember it but I'm not the most reliable GH historian. I actually think that the possibility of Julian donating marrow to Danny never occurred to the current writers.

As I recall, he donated marrow for Danny on one occasion when it was needed, but declined to bank his marrow for future need because at that time Sonny wanted to kill him. Sonny called him a coward for doing this. Did this change at some point? I think you'really right, it just didn't occur to the writers to include a marrow donation as part of what Julian is bequeathing to his son.

Fifty plus years of tidbits must be an awful lot to remember. Even if they have very detailed profiles of each character, it might just be easier for them to ignore them. What they need is to hire someone whose only job is to ensure continuity (like they do in the movies, can't remember the job title). Yeah, that'll happen.

That's how I remember it, too.
I don't recall Jason being a match or Julian banking any marrow.... though both might have happened and I forgot. Franco was a match (they still thought he and Jason were twins at the time instead of cousins) but because of the tumor and suspicious cells , he was ruled ineligible to donate.

During one of the umpteen times that Sonny was threatening Julian, Julian brought up the bone marrow issue and Sonny dismissed the issue saying 'we have Jason back, we don't need you anymore.'

Yes, that happened too but in 2014 when Danny got "sick" again, "Julian, Alexis and Sam are delighted at GH that Danny is cancer free. Sam thanks and hugs Julian for finally banking his bone marrow."

Ok. I found it. It wasn't Sonny, it was Sam. When Julian was arrested for attempted murder of Alexis, he tried to use the marrow to keep Sam in his life and she said they didn't need him anymore because Jason was a match.
