The writing is good, however there is a very clear bias against men/boys. They are all portrayed as either incompetent, tyrants/villains and/or a lesser of the species. This agenda driven narrative in all the TV shows and movies is getting very old very fast.
This cartoon is super gay and the creator of the show is lesbian, so probably.
The thing that bothers me about this show is the man hating. Like in the pilot episode when a male villain brings flowers to the witch and she acts like he's a creep for even trying. Also the way the witch is always belittling her sidekick who is also a male. You don't need to show men being belittled and hated to depict positive lesbian relationships. The two things don't have to go hand in hand.
