The series was produced in 1989, but because it was ideologically biased, it was not aired due to the Velvet Revolution (November 1989) and its first broadcast was only in 2003 on TV Prima. After all, it's also mentioned in the Wikipedia article you posted.

I was responding to when the series was filmed. Not its first release. I think it should state when the work was made, not when it was first released. Then sometimes there can be confusion when there are two films with the same title and each is made in a different year.

Unfortunately, TDMb does not allow you to add the year of production, but only the public release date, from which TMDb derives the year, which is in parentheses after the film title. For this reason, it is not possible to add a production year for this series and other cases (e.g. Skřívánci na niti...), even if it is significantly different from the date of first public release.

Hi, and why is it set up that way? Why isn't the filming of the movie listed? Then it's confusing.
