In real life there has only been presidents of Lebanon since 1926. At the time and for about 20 more years Lebanon would be French Mandated territory. As a historian I know Lebanon spent hundreds of years up to about 1918 being Ottoman Empire territory under the Turkish leadership in Istanbul. Did the show's writers actually know all that?
