( Kim ll Sung was a very brutal mass-murderer who started the whole Korean War. He led North Korea. He was never mentioned on Mash!)

In a book on TV sitcoms a writer faulted the series for not only posing questions but also trying to come up with answers.

The fact that the show stayed violently away from the fact that North Korea started the whole Korean War showed that the philosophy of life the show heavily advocated was in fact completely fake and viewers were not to be admiring and aspiring to that very philosophy.

PS With all the excellent direction and amazing but still badly leftist stories they came up with it is pitiful they could not cover the fact that NK was the war starter and just do it in a way that would not make you care much. The philosophy was indeed wrong!

Book at internetarchive called "Uniform, Insignia, Equipment, North Korean Army, August 1950".

( Think Larry Gelbart or Gene Reynolds or Alan Alda ever had a copy of this book?)
