Of these only Cleveland and Voland made it to the second season as their characters. Cleveland's part as Ginger was smaller in season 2 before she totally disappeared. Adiarte was having big problems getting along with the cast so Ho John vanished by the end of numero uno.
John Orchard, a positively splendid actor, was Ugly John and returned later in the post-Burns as an Australian military man ( in real life Orchard was from England).
The actress who played Nurse Kelleye was also in season one as a semi-regular and she stayed on the show till the end. 10 other semi-regulars ( actually eleven if you count and actor playing a dentist) and by the show's end only two other semi-regulars ( One G. W. Bailey as Rizzo!). Mash had way more happening at first than later!

PS I checked. Jeff Maxwell was not in season 1 as Igor. He started in season 2. There was also barely regular Alan Arbus as Sidney Friedman in season 11. But he was more like a recurring guest star than regular. Not quite counting was the highly beautiful Rosalind Chao as she was introduced only in the deliberately last ep and TV movie.
