How is it like Carrie? Teen with super powers isn't what Carrie is. Anyways ....I haven't seen it. Need more info.

Inspired by Carrie only. It's based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman. Not the novel by Steven King.

Carrie starts developing telekinetic abilities.
She is continuously harassed at school.
She is talked into going to the school prom where the mean kids pull a cruel joke on her.
She freaks out and burns the school down with everyone in it.

The fancy word would be "homage". The show sounds like a UPN style Carrie full of teen drama. Could be fun I don't know. Anything successfull gets imitations especially in movies and TV.
