Item: Profiles by VICE

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: Not sure if this belongs in the db. Maybe it should be removed?

There is no imdb page. I think its "properly released" (seems professional). But I think its only been released direct to YouTube? Or maybe here?

But the network would be what; YouTube or Vice.com? (btw, there is currently no network for "Vice.com"); for episode 1 if the network is YouTube then the air date is the 13th of May 2014 but if its Vice.com the air date is the 5th of May.

But the network would be what; YouTube or Vice.com?

Whichever released them first.

Would this require a separate tv entry (even though it has the same name and is from the same network/website)? Im partially/mainly asking just to know if this would belong as a poster for this series or not.

It might explains why it's not cataloged as a series. Just how many countries have original Profiles episodes?

I have no idea. So are you saying you now have some doubt this belongs in the db in the first place? Not sure if it helps but there is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iOUQ-fSUCo&list=PLDbSvEZka6GE1EWtD6Boug7bFB_OcGsgf.

EDIT: Or are you implying that maybe they should not be catalogued together in a tv series and instead should be added as individual movie entries?

Can you try to map the series first? See which episodes are released in each country/language? Are any of the episodes available internationally?

I have no idea how to do that.

A good way to start would be to make a list of the profiles available in each English speaking country (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.).

I'm still quite confused. I spent the whole day researching (and documenting episode titles, air dates, order, and overviews) and basically for all the current english homepages on vice.com as far as I can tell all of them are released in English (The episodes that were not in English were subtitled/captioned in English), but each homepage has a different set of episodes (they are all, as far as I can tell, ordered in the same way, and they generally all share the same episodes with some missing episodes on one being present on another, etc.). I have no idea how many homepages there are but I tried finding more and on the non-English speaking country homepages most of the time the majority of the episodes were the same as the ones on the English ones with the ocassional new episode that I couldn't play because of country restrictions or was in a different language (not English).

Then, there's this homepage: https://video.vice.com/gr/show/profiles-by-vice-1-599 which only has unique episodes (not found in any of the English homepages).

Generally the current English homepages on vice.com look like they share the same content as the archived vice.com episodes, and the YouTube playlist on Vice's YouTube channel, with the same similar differences.

Currently, I'm thinking there should be one entry for the English episodes, one for the "gr" language homepage, and then I have no idea for the rando foreign episodes from various other language homepages on vice.com (just ignore them- forget they exist?)...should I do that?

EDIT: I guess it seems like there's "Profiles By Vice" with this poster, and "Profiles By Vice" with this poster. The first one also has url that ends in "show/profiles-by-vice" while the second is "show/profiles-by-vice-1-599". I dont know if that makes a difference lol im so confused. (But even if that's the case, I dont know what to do with the rando, foreign episodes that I cant view or are generally not included in all other homepages or the archived vice.com episodes or the youtube playlist).

bump?

I spent the whole day researching (and documenting episode titles, air dates, order, and overviews)

Do you mind sharing your findings?

how? lol is that a dumb question
