The premise sounds interesting enough. I can already tell that Aunt Denise/Didi is going to be the best part of this sitcom. Gary Cole plays his usual likable doofus. Santa Monica is cute as can be!! Will give it a few more episodes to decide whether I abandon ship or not.

I've never watched black-ish, but decided to watch the premiere of this new series last night and enjoyed it. I agree that the aunt is the best thing about the show. I'm likewise in full agreement with you that little Santa Monica seems like she's going to be very entertaining.

Yeah. I never watched Black-ish, but found the whole concept of a family of hippies moving straight from a commune to the suburbs in the 80s to be a promising premise. I'm kind of confused about the whole bit about their commune being called a cult and raided by the Feds. Is there some sort of backstory here that would be known to fans of Black-ish but that I wouldn't have coming to this show first?

Aunt Didi is officially the biggest stereotype on TV but I love her!! Santa Monica is still a cutie pie!!
