The problem is that some of the documentaries have already been broadcast elsewhere.

For example, "Le papyrus oublié de la Grande Pyramide" that aired on the 30 of January 2018 in this series is the French version of "Lost Secrets of the Pyramid" that aired in Canada on the 29 of October 2017 in the series "The Nature of Things" and that is listed separately here : https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/502095-lost-secrets-of-the-pyramid?language=en-US

On the page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11470622/ , IMDB indicates this:

There are several versions of the same documentary that use much of the same footage.

• The CBC version (Lost Secrets of the Pyramid), broadcast in Canada as an episode of the science series "The Nature of Things with David Suzuki"

• The Channel 4 version (Egypt's Great Pyramid: The New Evidence), broadcast in the UK as a TV special

• The France 5 version (Le Papyrus oublié de la Grande Pyramide), broadcast in France as on episode of the science series "Science grand format"

How should we handle our rules about alternate versions in that case ?

Yeah, that's a frequent problem with TV documentaries. They're often released as stand-alone documentaries as well as within various documentary series worldwide. There is honestly no perfect solution.
