The show should have been titled "Rex & Hudson", or even better "Inspector Rex".

German Shepherd police dog Rex should get the credit with his name first, because without him the show would be just another boring police procedural.

In the original Austrian television show it is called "Kommissar Rex" and in Italian "Il commissario Rex". They got it right from the beginning.

Why didn't the Canadians do that?
