Season Poster Numbering

While I understand that this new series is being treated separately from the 2010 original series, do the season posters also need to reset their count? ie can Series 1 here have a Season 8 poster since its the 8th season of the British Bake Off shows?

The first season can have both Series 1 and Series 8 posters.
