Nope he is not in the in the appendecees ,this whole show is an affront to any self respecting Tolkien loving fan. But then again Amazon is desperately trying to bring in familiar characters into this show who supose to even be not there during the Second Age .Glorfindel was from the Third age age during the rise and fall of Sauron .Heck the Harfords are basically a Hobbit insert for the Hobbits that will not appear until the Third Age same thing for Gandalf and the other Ishtari.
I wonder if Glorfindel or Thranduil will appear at some stage , they are my favorite Tolkien characters.
Season 1 of the series is mostly set during SA 1500-1701 of the Second Age (SA 1- 3441). The "Lord of the Rings" and "THe Hobbit" movies are in the Third Age, when Glorfindel and Thranduil appear.
But I won't be surprised if they do appear in the series, as the writers, as usual, have decided to ignore the timeline and canon. There are a lot of changes - including retcons of canon, new characters and changes to existing ones - when compared to the books. It's like seeing an alternate time line: hundreds-thousands of years between events compressed in just a couple of years, characters who shouldn't be there at that time or place, or even exist.

Having familiar characters - memberberries - in a new show, is what writers will do to keep the old fans and get new ones interested. It is lazy writing, but does seem to have some success. For example, (S)SNW has so many characters from (S)TOS, that it has begun adding to, altering and replacing the (S)TOS history.

I'm not a die-hard Tolkien fan, but I can understand their wrath. It's like us towards ST Discovery and Strange New Worlds. The writers have thrown canon out of the window and that has pissed us off.
Like I mentioned in another post, I just got to see the second season and despite all the inconsistencies ( half I'm not even aware of), I enjoy seeing the characters in the flesh.
I thought the guy who plays Celebrimbor did an excellent job.
At first I didn't like Robert Aramayo as Elrond because he looked puny in comparison to Weaver's portrayal of the future Lord of Imladris. But his acting won me over. He is my all-time favourite character now despite the dumbo elf ears.
The actor who plays Ereinion, well, I have a crush on him.. I love his looks and his long, black, silky mane. I know he was not near Eregion when it was sacked. King Gil galad sent Elrond to Eregion to aid Celebrimbor. I'm just happy when he gets screen time, even if it goes against canon.
As long as Glorifindel makes the series, I will be happy. I saw the page wonder2wonder kindly posted of James Campbell Bower. His face is convincing for the role, but he will need to put on some muscle and weight. Glorfindel was a magnificent warrior, and I believe he also possessed extraordinary strength.
I can't stand the Harfoots, and the only hobbits I liked were the kind Frodo and the loyal Sam; the other two I didn't fancy. Bilbo I like in The Hobbit films.

It has been rumoured that Glorfindel will appear in season three. Jamie Campbell Bower will possibly play him.
Sidenote:
As @Nexus71 already posted, the writers are just mixing up everything. I already posted about this here:
