The new JSA is threatened by the ISA and the battle begins.

Dragon King defeats Shining Knight, but is then slain from behind by his own daughter Shiv.

"Shouldn't have locked me up, Daddy."

This time Sportsmaster, Tigress and Icicle are beaten by Stargirl, Wildcat and Hourman.

Solomon Grundy is released by the Gambler and attacks S.T.R.I.P.E., taking the robot apart. Hourman comes to his rescue.

Shiv once again tries to kill Stargirl, but is knocked out by a blast from the Cosmic Staff.

Hourman pummels Solomon Grundy and smashes him to the ground. However he doesn't take revenge by killing the beast who murdered his parents. Instead he lets him go.

Why? Because his hour was up.

"Go on. Get out of here! And never come back!"
"You spared the beast."
"Whatever, my hour was up."

Brainwave tries to take over Wildcat's mind and convince her that he is Henry Jr., still alive. She does not fall for this trap and slashes Brainwave's throat, killing him.

"I watched Henry die. Now I'm going to watch you die."

Stargirl destroys the machine with the help of her Cosmic Staff.

Icicle freezes Beth's goggles, 'killing' Chuck. Then he kidnaps Barbara. Pat and Stargirl go after him.

In the final battle between Stargirl and Icicle, both fall from the tower. Wildcat saves Stargirl before she hits the ground. Icicle survives the fall, gets up and transforms into ice, ready to attack again. Suddenly he is struck by a pickup driven by Mike and shatters into thousands of pieces.

Shining Knight leaves Blue Valley on a new quest to seek the missing Soldiers of Victory.

"I came to Blue Valley to slay that dragon, but I didn't do it. I did nothing."

"I'm going to go and find my horse, dear lady, and the other soldiers, I think. Till the next battle, Stargirl."

Six weeks later. Everyone of the new JSA - Yolanda, Beth, Rick - is at Courtney's home celebrating Christmas. Courtney gives Pat his present. It's a mug with the inscription "World's Greatest Dad ".
