A 'stranger' is at Courtney's home.

Barbara: "Oh my God."

Sam: "Hey Barbara. I got your email."

Pat: "Hi. Pat Dugan."

Sam: "Hi."

Pat: "Hi. You are...?"

Sam: "I'm Sam Kurtis. Courtney's father."

Pat: "Oh right. Of course. Sam. Well uh, nice to meet you."

Sam: "Me too."

Sam explains his sudden visit.

Sam: "Wow, look at you. You really growing up."

Courtney: "You're not my father."

Sam: "I know it's been awhile. I got your mom's email, so..."

Barbara: "What are you doing here?"

Sam: "Well, you once told me that you couldn't wait to get out of Blue Valley. Well, I figured that if you haven't come back here, then it must have been serious. Look, I am sorry for showing up like this out of the blue. I replied. I never heard back. I was worried. Is everything all right?"

Courtney looks at her mother. She is confused.

Courtney: "That's not my dad."

Barbara: "Honey, I'm so sorry that this is happening like this right now."

Courtney: "It's not, it can't be."

Barbara: "It is."

Sam shows Courtney a locket. It looks exactly like the one she is wearing.

Sam: "Hey Courtney."

Courtney: "Where did you get that?"

Sam: "Well, I used to have two, but then I gave that one to you, a long time ago."

Courtney: "I don't believe you."

In S1E11 Courtney is confronted with her real (biological) father, Sam Kurtis (a.k.a. Two of Clubs, member of the Royal Flush Gang) (Tim Misuradze). He disappeared ten years ago on Christmas Eve, the same day that the original JSA was defeated by the ISA.

Courtney believed that Starman (a.k.a. Sylvester Pemberton) (Joel McHale) was her father. Now that she is faced with the truth, she is utterly devastated and walks away.
