Discuss DC's Stargirl

It is Homecoming!

In episode seven Stargirl faces her arch-enemy Shiv for the first time.

She is attacked by Shiv and an uneven battle follows.

Stargirl is no match for the cybernetically enhanced Shiv, and in a matter of seconds she lies on the ground, heavily wounded, her hands slashed and blood trickling from her lips. Shiv lifts her dragon-headed staff menacingly and just as she strikes at the defenceless Stargirl for the final deadly blow, the janitor intervenes and blocks it with his invulnerable sword. He knocks the surprised Shiv down and then retreats in the shadows.

Janitor Justin: "Until death it is all life."

Guided by the Cosmic Staff, Pat enters, shouting Stargirl's real name, while Shiv gets up and flees. He hurries towards Courtney and cradles her in his arms.

Pat: "Courtney!"

Janitor Justin seems to recognize Pat:

"Stripesy."

What I love and hate about the show is how Courtney's impulsiveness makes her so bad at being a superhero. I love it cause it's realistic, as it causes her to get someone killed and almost gets her killed twice so far. I hate it because it also makes her so frustrating to watch sometimes. She's like Peter Griffin in Family Guy. Every episode she acts as if she figured out what she did was wrong, but the next episode it's like she completely forgets what happened before and learned nothing from it.

I like Courtney. She is just like in the comic book "Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. (1999)" and in the animated series.

Though she is much more 'impulsive' there then in the television series. relaxed
