You mean you want Hollywood to come up with something new and original? But that would go against their current agenda of shitting all over the old stuff (especially old stuff that has white males in it) and everyone who liked it by remaking the old stuff but with new PC characters. Thomas Magnum white? Nope, that's gotta go. Higgins an actual English middle aged white male? Awww hellz nah!!! That's the very definition of THE PATRIARCHY! So, when this show tanks because it's actually a flaming pile of garbage, Hollywood has a win win; they've totally ruined something from the evil past AND they get to call you a racist, bigot, sexist etc. because you didn't watch it. YAY!

Well now in my view Magnum should be re-imagined as a black woman - and Higgins a white gay male who adores his two white poodles - he is only there for decoration of course because we all know that men are useless when female leads are the stars. I too am sick and tired of the political correctness of film and tv shows. Everybody it seems has to be represented regardless of relevance to the plot. Sexless shows are a thing of the past and gay love scenes are the fashion of the day. It's all about money and voyeurism.
