My opinion is the same as yours @superboy97 (and the moderator who originally made the edits and the other mods who voices their own opinions before today). The facts speak for themselves, and the guidelines for this kind of situation are very clear.
It would be ill advised to forgo long established guidelines and change how the series is listed because of what one user want. There are always going to be unhappy users who want the seasons split, just like there are always going to be unhappy users who want the seasons merged.
Either way, it doesn't significantly affect the data. So what's the real issue here?

I was asked by @superboy97 to provide a second opinion (third opinion now that @banana_girl wrote a reply) but I agree with what both of them have written.
It seems pretty clear that the BBC changed their mind either the day Cunk on Earth's first episode aired or at any point in the following 7 days between the next available archive on Sept. 27, 2022 and reorganized Cunk on Earth into the second season (series) of Cunk on..., with Cunk on Britain now being the first season (series).
This is pure speculation on my part but the BBC very likely separated Cunk on Britain and Cunk on Earth into separate entries (again) due to the new Cunk on Life special.

Pretty sure this isn't a discussion about what one user wants, but rather the correct information. As is evidenced by the multiple threads on this topic, even if it wasn't correct it's disingenuous to imply that only a single user wants it.
TMDb ignores their rules for collections for James Bond, this seems like another clear example where the "rules" fall short of what is correct. Why have rules if you're going to selectively apply them anyway?

There is no live webpages or distributed copies which back superboy's claims. You are hosting fanart for the show's covers as if it's real. This is ridiculous and tarnishes TMDB's reputation, making it a less favorable option end-users and developers. I can't tell if you are being serious or actually purposely degrading the quality of the database on purpose - not to be conspiratorial, but half of the mods are also active on TVDB and aren't pulling this non-sense there. What's the deal with that?
