Why, why, why, why, why, why did she get out of the car after she was chased? Why did she completely freak out when the brother came to see her?
That whole last scene let you know what kind of bullshit they would pull with the plot in order to move it forward. Remove that whole scene and the episode is watchable.

People do stupid things when they're emotional. It's part of the show that you have to handwave away but even if the characters are stupid the story's still pretty good.

I actually watched the first and second episode by mistake because I forgot I had seen the first one before. It didn't get better. Sure, teenagers are emotional and dumb as a sack of bricks, but come on... this is ridiculous.
