Haruma Kawagoe is an only child. A long time ago, around Christmas, his mother miscarried the child that would have been his baby sister. Cette nuit là, le jeune Haruma se mis à genoux et pria pour que sa mère aille mieux et qu'on lui envoit une petite soeur. Les années ont passées, et Haruma a oublié cette prière. Haruma Kawagoe è figlia unica. Molto tempo fa, nel periodo natalizio, sua madre ha abortito il bambino che sarebbe dovuto essere la sua sorellina. Quella notte, il giovane Haruma si inginocchiò e offrì una preghiera sincera: "Per favore, fai di nuovo bene mia madre e per favore dammi una sorellina". Sono passati anni e Haruma ha quasi dimenticato la sua preghiera. Ma Babbo Natale non ha... un Natale, quando Haruma meno se lo aspetta, riceve un regalo insolito: sua sorella.

クリスマスの朝、主人公“川越はるま”はサンタから妹“ちょこ”をもらう。突然のことにうろたえるはるま。実は子供の頃、妹が欲しかったが叶わなかったため、サンタに妹がほしいとお願いしたのが、今になって実現したのであった。とりあえず、ちょこの服を買うためデパートに赴く、はるまとちょこ。しかし、はるまが買い物をして目を離したすきに、ちょこはデパートの中で迷子になってしまう。迷子預かり所で、泣きじゃくるちょこに飛びつかれ、彼女に対し自分は頼りになるお兄ちゃんなのだという思いをほのかに芽生えさせる。
