The original broadcaster of this series is ITV.
This episode hasn't yet been broadcasted on ITV. Consequently, it is listed in the special season. It is the same for the episode "The Witches of Angel's Rise".

This point of view seems to be singular in the Web. I only found references where these two episodes are listed as Season 22 Episode 5 and 6:
According to tellymix "ITV has confirmed the hit show will return in the new year [2023] with the remaining episodes of Series 22", "Series 22 of Midsomer Murders has six episodes."
So, maybe, you should reconsider the decision on treating these episodes as specials instead of regular episodes.

As of today, these episodes haven't been broadcasted by ITV.
These episodes will be moved to the appropriate season if and when ITV broadcast them. In the meantime, their place is in the specials season.

They may have been broadcasted on many places.
But ITV is the original broadcaster of this series and, consequently, our listing should be based on the ITV broadcast.
