I haven't read the comic so I don't know, but it looks like they're hinting at a Cat & Mouse final or a Battle Royale. Also, I love the use of animation to tell back story. I'm surprised this show isn't more talked about here, it seems like it's very much the kind of show many of the posters here would enjoy.
