So I tuned in a bit late. Not all out comedy nor drama, and to me the Star Trek set up is worn out from too many series and movies, but it has potential. Remember all of the Star Trek off-shoots: series and movies needed a few episodes to get going and so does The Orville. When it stands on its own as a show and not being compared to either Galaxy Quest/Red Dwarf territory or the Star Trek/ Babylon 5/Firefly mold then we have something. I do wonder if Seth is going to bring out a bit of the song and dance that he loves so much. It needs to go, of course, boldly on. I will give it four episodes to progress to something worth continuing.
