Roy is, at least, ostensibly a "good guy". He fought to take care of his junkie mother. He's trying to put bad guys in jail...and yet, there's definitely a twisted dark side to him, perhaps he's just using his cover as a member of law enforcement as an outlet for his rage (the bar fight scene is a great example; trashing the hotel room, another). Still, he hasn't actually killed anyone, that we've seen, anyway.
Darlene, however, just can't wait for a chance to kill people. Her body count is piling up, and no one is safe, not even pregnant women who have no involvement in the crime life. I think that crosses a line. She's also impetuous, acting irrationally, without thinking - she's out of control and, at some point, I've got to wonder if Jacob would get tired of having to clean up her mess that thwart good plans.

They're both out of control, which will almost certainly seal their doom. Darlene is clearly psychotic -- three murders in 10 episodes, and she wanted two more. I think Emery is doing a great job, I she gets an Emmy nod out of it.

Oh they both are!!!!!!!! I think Roy is moreso, but, they both are neck and neck right now with the things they've done.
