Hi, since IMDB announce they would close, I've been tempted to check out other boards. This seems like the best alternative so far, so I hope the majority of IMDB's user base will migrate here.
Here's my symbolic contribution: I'll migrate one of my recent posts on IMDB here:
Original post:
Just thought this life lesson the OA's father taught her as a child kind of applied to the final scene with the school shooter. To beat the "craziness" of the shooter, they had to become "crazier" than him, and acting as they did indeed eventually succeeded in defeating the "crazy".
More generally, "becoming colder than the cold" was in fact what helped her overcome her first nightmare. Later, her friends "becoming crazier than the crazy" was also the key to overcoming her new nightmare.

Jingles173 replied: I loved the entire season but the finale was Great the music that played they all got up did these moves they believed in each other in had goosebumps. Then Steve running and saying take me with you. Even if in the end she was crazy and it was made up she gave them Faith they all had issues going on in their lives and probably feeling lost

Good point that ties it back to the start of the story. I'm not sure if the writers were intending for that connection, but I'll buy into it.
Btw, only in Russia (or T-Land) would a father instruct their child to submerge themselves into freezing water. "In Russia frozen lake doesn't freeze child, child freezes lake."
"Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man." -tBL
