Item: One for the Road (0x1)
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: "One for the Road" is currently set to be released as part of an upcoming sixth season according to the Amazon (UK) website. As new seasons need to have at least two episodes, "One for the Road" has been added as a special and an episode group has been created for the order on the Amazon website.
If season 6, and therefore "One for the Road," is released as a multi-episode season (i.e. at least two episodes) please submit a content report and a sixth season will be created.

There are still 3 pages of reports on this choice, making an "exception" would be a good choice, but above all a logical choice...

I also landed here, wondering where season 6, episode 1 is on Trakt. This problem (putting it into specials) is misleading people and is, in fact, wrong, no matter of any (old?) rules.

This is a good question. If the show does continue with new hosts and the next episode is listed by Amazon Prime as Season 7 Episode 1, how will TMDB list it?

This is crazy that it is not added. The season episode is out, can be found on The TVDB, IMDB etc. Sonar also detected as 6th season. My Plex cannot addd this new season now due to this missing metadata. Please add the season so we can use it!

Dumbest rule I've ever heard of. Really disappointed that Trakt.tv relies on your website.

I agree that the majority is not always right... but every day there is a new post on this subject... seriously

Well, it looks like this will never get fixed until a second episode or Season 7 will be added. Very disappointed with the Movie DB, when every other information provider has got it correct.
The TVDB, have Season 6 and the Specials correctly listed. https://www.thetvdb.com/series/the-grand-tour-2016#seasons
Another TV information provider with this correctly listed. https://www.tvmaze.com/seasons/174879/the-grand-tour-season-6/episodes
Please don't be the odd one out and correctly list this episode as Season 6, Episode 1.

The mods surely love all this attention. I don't get why else they would be so stubborn with content that people themselves add. I am here because Kodi does nor recognize officiall name S06E01 and again it's because... some rule for site that should be getting official info first, and only after forcing their rules.

replying for the same reason as stated by all the others.
This episode did not pop up in trakt.tv as it was marked as a special.
Fix this by making an exemption for this show as it is confusing and incorrect @superboy97

The Rule that SHOULD be applied is: Any TV Show that already has a Season with Episodes listed will CONTINUE in the Rule of adding a New Season with a New Episode(s) even if that Season only includes one Episode (as they all mostly do at the start of adding a New Season). Where this Rule would differ is if a TV Show Only has One Season and One Episode it would then be listed as a Special. Where a TV Show issues an Episode as a Special then this would indeed be listed as a Special.
Apply THIS Rule and all problems should be solved. Logical and within the spirit of what everybody can live with (even the Mods)

If this is indeed a rule or guideline, it seems arbirtary. As per now, the official information from Amazon Prime is that this is season 6 and it contains the final ever episode. I can't see that this will change, but if it by some miracle do, does that mean that the episode will cease to be a special and become episode 1? Seems like a hassle for an arbitrary rule that doesn't seem to have any function.

Doesn't seem like the Admins/Moderators don't want to fix their DB for this. No response from them for some time now.

In any case, I hope that this will be managed quickly! (of course not...)

After so many people asking for a bit of flexibility and exposing reasons why doing an exception in this case would be more than reasonable, I doubt MODs will ever listen and solve this problem. They are probably here only to strictly and blindly apply a set of rules apparently graved in stone by some kind of superior entity, not to respond to community needs nor any logical sense, so I don't think our requests will ever be taken into account. Of course, I'll be more than glad to be proven wrong. ;-)
