When David and Sydney body swap, they seem to swap bodies, but then when David leaves the hospital as Sydney, he becomes himself again. But wouldn't he revert back to his body in the hospital? I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this but I'm not seeing it.

I don't think he could have left the hospital if he was not in her body. She was getting out, he was not. I think the transfer was on purpose to get him out.

I don't think it was on purpose cause she tried to stop him from kissing her. And then based on her reaction, it was definitely unintentional.

I'm not sure what the physics of her powers are but I guess it causes the body to teleport to where the mind is. Or another mutant did this? Hopefully they'll explain it.

I think a lot of people are confused about this, hell even they don't really get it. So, I think it's something we'll come back to....and I'm honestly still not convinced Syd is even real. Everything is pretty unclear, but that's how it's supposed to be right now! I look forward to watching it unfold.

Huh, I'll have to rewatch and see how many people interact with Syd, but I'm pretty sure she's real.

I don't think it will ever get explained because the way they swapped bodies doesn't match how they switched back. Then again since there's a time limit and she saw the yellow-eyed thing , maybe her powers are more complicated than body swapping Rogue.

She's been acknowledged, but...there's also a pretty popular theory that everything we've seen is in his head, or almost everything. I mean we're only two episodes in so who the hell knows. I think all of that is still up for grabs in terms of the reality we're seeing.

There's something strange going on with her though and I also don't trust Melanie and the rest of their team. I am of the opinion they'll end up betraying him somehow. They're, at least, not as altruistic as they seem, I think. Either there is more to that body swap that they'll show or it could've just been poorly executed in the grand scheme of things because I've seen a lot of people perplexed and not entirely understanding it. I can't say I do either!

I think most or possibly everything is all in his head. He's an unreliable narrator. We're not supposed to trust his perception of reality. Melanie--with her blonde hair and white clothes--is basically a middle aged Emma Frost. Frost is a villain in the X-Men world. I don't trust either her or Syd, to be honest. I think they are just using and manipulating David (if they are real people) for their own purposes.

I agree Movie Queen41, I stated something a bit similar to that above. There's lots more we still don't know and yet to uncover. I look forward to watching it unfold!

Don't forget David can warp reality in the comics thus him and Sid returning to the original selves could be the result of his powers interacting with hers.

In my opinion she is not real... it is like Mr. Robot all over again.

Thanks for this, I didn't know either. It showed up on Hulu a few days ago.

No problem! I always prefer to watch things as they air if I can, but obviously that's not the common/popular way to watch things these days anymore. But the more eyeballs it has the better!

Thanks! I got rid of my dish and stream almost everything... I only discovered this show cause of a post a FB friend made.
