What a weird title for this segment because obviously the father didn't love his daughter. There was so many unanswered questions; like why did he drive from Houston, all the way down to Galveston, then through Galveston and get on the ferry out of town to drop the bodies of his daughter and her girlfriend off in Port Bolivar. They didn't really explain that. Also why did the ferry worker make him get out of his SUV - which was really his daughter's SUV - and stand in front of it then get back in and get back out again. Weird. I've been on the Galveston ferry many times and I've never had to do that. Maybe they were suspicious of something, and also it was in the middle of the night.
I must admit when I first heard about this case I thought the father probably found the daughter and girlfriend in Galveston as the daughter was seeing a therapist or getting treatments for a gender change because she did look like a male. Even when the detective saw her body he thought she was a male at first. Galveston did have a gender identity clinic there (I don't think it's there anymore) because a burly male-to-female transgender I knew went there for several years.
