Yep. And Sovak has just disappeared, no explanation. You didn't see him on the ground after that, even in the original version.
I've made a complaint/report to Pluto TV, dunno what if anything they'll do about it. Maybe if Pluto TV is shown in countries where that kind of "violence" is not allowed, they just cut it out for EVERYONE.
I suppose vaporizing someone with a phaser is okay, but NO PUNCHING!
Reminds me of how, at least for a while, part of a Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode was cut by the BBC or something over there, where Giles "hot-wires" HIS OWN CAR in order to escape from some baddies. He left his keys in his desk or something, I don't remember. Apparently in England at that time, they weren't allowed to show such "criminal activity." At least that was the claim.

Is punching a terrorist (S3E12 "High Ground"), or hitting a family member (S4E02 "Family") allowed, or were those scenes also cut?
By the way, If you watch the scene inside the resort where Sovak confronts them with a gun and the one outside, you'll notice a continuity error: the white shirt of Picard and the yellow one of Vash is positioned in a different way.

I haven't seen those episodes on Pluto. They're just a rotating schedule, no on-demand available. "Captain's Holiday" just happened to come up while I was on that "channel" last night, not long before bed time. They're on S4E9 now, so I won't have an opportunity to check those for a while. Assuming they come up during my waking hours. They run the episodes 24/7, so it might only take until about this time next week, if they just start over with TNG again. But sometimes they show TOS for a while, so if that happens it'll be longer.

In the episode S7E05 "Gambit, Part 2" at the beginning, on the mercenary bridge, Picard accuses Riker,
Maybe I'll catch that one in a few days, it should come around then. Assuming it's on when I'm awake. Or unless they skip season 7 for some reason, I think they've done that before. Maybe they'll start over at season 1 again, or they might jump in later, or that might be when they start showing TOS...
I think they will be showing TOS sometime fairly soon though, since Pluto TV emailed me back that "Captain's Holiday" would be showing again on July 10, so I can check it then to see if the same bit is skipped again. I'll be recording the TV with my phone/camera to have proof, if it is.
It shouldn't take that long to get to "Captain's Holiday" again, if they're just going to keep repeating TNG. Having it not be until July 10 suggests that they might show all of TOS at least twice, in the meantime. It's been a while since they did TOS, so that wouldn't be a surprise.

What episode of {S)TNG is Pluto showing now?
"Galaxy's Child."
It's hard for me to believe that the missing bit of "Captain's Holiday" was any kind of technical glitch. The missing part was just too clean to be an accident. They assured me that their source isn't missing that bit, so I don't know what happened unless they're just wrong somehow.

That's weird, maybe Pluto has different versions? I'm using Roku. Their Star Trek channel is 24/7. And if they have different versions, that might explain how what I saw is different from what they checked.
At the end, Picard, Data and Spock are captured by Sela and locked in her office. When she returns, they are gone, hidden behind a holographic wall. They step out of it, and Picard punches one of the guards.
S6E01 "Time's Arrow, Part 2":
Picard, Riker, Troi, Beverly and La Forge are at the Sisters of Hope Infirmary investigating, when two Devidians appear, disguised as a doctor and a nurse. After a short fight, they vanish, leaving a cane behind. A real cop enters and tries to confiscate it, but Riker knocks him out.
A lot of punches to cut, e.g. "Where No Man Has Gone Before", "Shore Leave", "Tomorrow is Yesterday", "Court Martial", "The Return of The Archons", "This Side of Paradise".

So, after Picard takes the gun away from Sovak, the punch is edited out, and next you see Picard and Vash leaving the resort for the caves?

"What's wrong, Commander? You having second thoughts about betraying your comrades? Because that's what you've done, betrayed them. Betrayed them in order to save yourself. You used to be just a second rate officer, now you're a traitor and a coward. How does that feel?",
and then Riker punches him.

"Galaxy's Child" was the episode I was watching, when I posted The Holodeck: Simulating people without their permission.
Pluto has only advanced 7 episodes since yesterday. I'll try to remember any fight scenes later in season 4 and season 5 for this weekend.
