Well worth downloading or whatever. Both versions. And all 3 or 4 or 5 versions of Twilight Zone. Night Gallery had some good stuff too, but less important.
The second version of Outer Limits was made by/for and originally shown on Showtime, which didn't have certain broadcast-TV limitations on nudity etc. So best to get that version.
And that second version had some continuity between episodes/seasons, in a few cases. There were some "sequels" etc. So definitely worth seeing from the beginning. Even though there were a few semi-clunkers in the mix.
As far as I’m concerned, this might be the best time-travel story ever, possibly even the best story of any kind – or at least the best sci-fi story – in any format.
From the second version of Outer Limits. (And this episode was one that had references in later episodes, including one that guest-starred Charlton Heston.)
There was also a US version of Thriller which was different than the UK version.
Here is another good one, if dailymotion will let you see it. It's from a Sci-Fi Channel airing, so might be cut a bit, but I'm not sure what that might be. I don't think this episode had anything "controversial," if anything they might have just cut it a bit to make room for the usual commercials in an hour timeslot.
Also RIP Richard Herd Who played who played L'Kor in TNG's two-parter Birthright and played Admiral Owen Paris (Tom Paris' father) in several episodes of VOY. RIP Richard Herd who is probably best known in SF circles is the Leader John in the "V" miniseries.(1932-2020)
Dang, I didn't know Mr. Herd had passed. I liked him as a character actor. Had an authentic quality to his acting. Always liked him as Officer Sheridan in TJ Hooker, John in V, and Admiral Owen Paris in Voyager.

Thanks for the links. All I know of Midnight Gallery is that the episode with Joan Crawford was Steven Spielberg's directorial debut.
