More like an EPA fine for all that tar they dumped!
(But for the record, they wasted a lot of Hershey chocolate syrup for the shower scene in the original movie "Psycho." It was in black and white, and they used the syrup for "blood.")
We never even found out which race it was that Armus originally belonged to.
Well whatever race it was, they should be punished for wasting all that Hershey's chocolate syrup!
If that were the case it's no wonder Armus felt so threatened by Troi, what with her appetite for all things chocolate. Imagine if he had pulled her down into his pit instead of Riker.

She would have looked back then, like she does now on NCIS and other shows?

I think we should give Marina a break for not looking like she did back then - TNG is 30 years old and she'll be 63 in a couple weeks. 30 years, yeesh. I can still clearly remember myself and a large group of friends who got together to watch the series premier Encounter At Farpoint.
Well sure, she's not going to look the same. But Majel Barrett for example, was still easily recognizable into her 60s and 70s. Marina Sirtis is not. Sad for her. If anything, she may look worse in real life than when the weird alien guy turned her into a crone by sucking the life energy out of her.
I think it just reinforces the notion that we shouldn't really put much stock or value on physical appearance, because it is literally as fleeting as youth. Some people, such as Majel Barrett are able to maintain perhaps not a youthful appearance, but are, like you said, still recognizable even into old age. Then there are people like Kathryn Bigelow whom, I personally believe, has made a deal with the devil. I was watching a video recently that probably had something to do with the "me too" thing and I honestly believed someone had incorrectly identified the woman speaking as Mira Sorvino, I just couldn't believe it was her. Not that she has gotten horribly ugly or old, it just didn't look like the same person. shrugs We're all battling time and we all eventually lose. For some, the battle goes a lot worse than for others. I don't know what's happened with Marina, I didn't know her looks had changed that much until you mentioned it - her profile pics both here and on imdb are not very recent (the one on imdb is from 2001 and IMO she looks way better than she ever did during TNG). Maybe she's had some bad work done, maybe it's genetics. I haven't seen her on NCIS but I hope she's doing a good job with her character.
If that were the case it's no wonder Armus felt so threatened by Troi, what with her appetite for all things chocolate. Imagine if he had pulled her down into his pit instead of Riker.
So all they needed to defeat Armus was to give Troi a spoon?

Now that you mention it I do remember a later episode like she had something done to her mouth because it looked like a "Joker smile"
Spoon, straw, what ever's handy. I never thought of Marina as having a Joker smile but I did always find her upper lip to be a little bit odd, like she was getting collagen injections or something. I never really warmed to the Troi character, although any interview I saw Marina give, she came across as pretty cool.
Well I can't remember what episode but there is one episode in the later seasons where it really looks like she had a Joker Smile I remember because we once discussed it on the old IMDB Trek board. And when I mentioned it there people started watching the episode and they commented that indeed there was something odd with her mouth. She seems a nice person although you have to get used to the heavy cockney accent (certainly when she is doing the commentary with Frakes on Insurrection .
I don't really mind the cockney accent too much (not my favourite English accent) but I have to admit I found it distracting when it would slip through. It was especially noticeable during the first couple seasons but Marina learned to hide it better as the show progressed.
But during the movies she sometimes tend to forget she is Troi and the accent is back again. But in all fairness despite her accent her commentary track with Frakes on Insurrection is for more engaging than the movie itself.

Indeed. The less said about this episode, the better.

Well, I can think of a few options. Organians. Metrons. Maybe even Douwd, or Q.
