Yeah, just finished both. What I found strange was everyone else acted so different from their normal character, but Margo in her new life still acts like her usual bitchy self. I couldn't figure out why the royal court found it so difficult to accept her. No matter how she looked, I would have instantly recognized her just by the way she acted.
Have to admit that I was expecting Tick and Fen to comment that she sounded like Margo. I thought the other "personas" were reflections of the person inside, though.
I am loving it so far. Hale is doing a great job as the monster. I am interested in where they are going to take things for the whole season and sad we may not get Eliot back until near the end, but like I said he is doing a great job. I think season 4 was wrapped before they confirmed season 5 was confirmed. So holding out hope it stays strong.
I know I am in the minority, but I was a little disappointed how they rewrote the ending to A Life in the Day and had Q pursue a romantic life with Eliot and Eliot rejecting him. That was his most painful, buried memory? I am so okay if the writer want to make them a couple, that isn't the issue for me. Don't retcon to try and make it happen. Make it happen much more organically. I have really appreciated the writing and dialog for the past three season and now into the fourth. Seeing the approach took to get to their destination didn't sit well with me.

I thought they spent at least some of that "life" as a couple? I remember being surprised by the appearance of a son.
My biggest disappointment with the last couple of eps has been the lack of Jade Tailor.
They spent a life together for sure and were a family, but I don't know about couple. That is, obviously, up to interpretation. Q had a wife and a son. The wife died and Q & Eliot spent the rest of their lives together trying to solve the mosaic.
I don't have a problem with them having a relationship but have a problem with the writing and how it fells like a back track to suit fans, mostly. Just looking at the previous 3 seasons, I don't see much pointing to this direction. Alice's face was on the Queen of Hearts card in the game of push. Eliot does lust after Q, that was clear in Season 1, Episode 1. Both Eliot and Margo thought he was cute, but not that cute. LOL. Anyway, I just think it is lazy writing.
I miss Jade as well. She got set-up as a big bad with sitting in the gold chair, puppies , the bad luck bear coin going to Marina and then nothing for 2 episodes now. I am just not as impressed with the writing this season as the previous 3. Feels like the writers backed themselves into a corner and are reaching for ways to get themselves out.

I'll have to scan through the ep when I have time - I was sure it was more obvious than "interpretation". As for Q's feelings towards Eliot, he did sleep with him (leading to the breakup with Alice) and in the first book (OK, not series canon) he feels jealousy when he sees another boy go down on Eliot.
I miss Jade mainly because she's gorgeous. I'm assuming she's going to use the residual magic in the bear for something - I'm hoping it's to get the "real" Penny out of the library.
It seemed pretty clear that for a while they were a couple during the time they spent. They may have been Polyamorous while Q was raising a child with his Wife but that is only assumption, not laid out by the show.

Glad that S5 has already been confirmed.

All that tells me is that somehow they're gonna screw this up again big time. and make things even worse than it already is.

Yup, watching and super stoked it’s back. Probably my favorite show on TV right now. Rick Worthy just kills it as Dean Fogg in ep 2.

Finally up to date and every episode has been a winner for me. Can't believe this show isn't more popular.
