Big Bad Amos Needs A Wrench To Fight A Girl?

When Bobbie realizes that she is aboard The Rocinante; she says it’s more her ship than theirs. She tells Naomi (I think) that she doesn’t need her suit to take the ship. Did my eyes deceive me or did Amos grab a big “A” wrench to confront Bobbie? What was that all about? Amos “Beatdown” Burton needs a weapon to lay waste to a girl? 
Good thing Alex was there to step in and saved his arse!

Yes. But, why the wrench--Bobbie is a girl. He was afraid he couldn't take a girl in a fight without a weapon?

Agreed. Hence the line that one guy said "That's Recon gear, she can force feed you that gun if she wanted to." Not to take anything away from Bobbie, she's a good character and she's only gotten better this season, but let's be realistic, we all know who the real BAMF is in this show. Amos was probably going to hand Bobbie the wrench just to give her a chance.
