I'm at s01e06 and i'm getting really bored. Should I continue watching, it is getting more interestring?
Every show isn't for everybody.
Tell us what you like; then maybe we can help make that decision for you.
Well, I like that it's SF and one that could actually be. I think my problem is that it dosen't contain too much action. What? A few slaps and one or two punches and that's it? xD The only cool scene was in that episode when the crew from Cant was captured by Mars and then they were attacked. Everything else seems boring.
Some people might think it's funny to semi-spoil, I don't, so don't pay attention to them. You didn't ask to know what happens further along in the show, just if it's worth your time to keep watching, right? I felt exactly the same way you did and I actually gave up once and stopped watching. Then when season two came out, everyone was on and on about how great it was and that it was the best sci-fi show ever. (This can be debated upon as Battlestar Galactica is undefeated in that category.) Anyway, I decided that I would give it one more chance when I had the time so I did, started again from episode one and it was ten times better on my second viewing. Season two is amazing, I can't wait for season three. So don't give up!
Its going to be difficult to see how they out do themselves in season 3 , but knowing the basic book plots...I do recommend grabbing on to something solid.

I’m share with you what I wrote on another site under a Thread that asks about other favorite finales this season.
"The Expanse".
"First off, it’s a show where you need a scorecard to keep up with all the characters, plots, who-is-a-member-of-which-faction, AND the litany of transgressions one faction is claiming was inflicted by the other faction(s).
At first glance--listening to the players from each side (three) spout their Manifesto--it reminded me of the "Star Trek” episode, Let That Be Your Last Battlefield. Because, for people who purport to hate each other, EVERY faction is made up of individuals from EVERY ethnic group. There is no way to know who-is-who until someone points it out.
Also, there are no white hats vs. black hats here. The best you get at any given time is someone doing what they think is the right thing--for what they think is the right reason (often bringing to mind that quote about the road to hell).
Anyway; as for the finale; it turned up some serious-heat under a pressure cooker of conflicts that already seemed set to blow. If the finale is any indication of things to come, faith in the Mutually Assured Destruction doctrine is about to be severely tested."
--As for your question--
The show does a great job of showcasing the universal perils, pitfalls, and problems cause when people-kind’s go-to method for solving issues and conflict with others unlike themselves = us-vs.-them/our-way-or-the-highway.
Although the show is mostly food-for-thought and character-driven, there IS action enough.
But, if you are the kind of person who likes shows with a steady dose of punch-punch-kick-kick-bang-bang-kick-kick-stab-stab AND constantly blowing-“S”-up; then this show is probably not for you.
Thank you all for the replies. I might give it another try sometime when I will finish the other shows, give it more attention...
what other shows are you watching?
Currently I am rewatching GoT to remember some key features and be ready for the new season, House of Cards, Fear the Walking Dead, Preacher and Better Call Saul.
I commented on this in another thread but one of the things I enjoyed about the first season of The Expanse was how it took its time unpacking story and developing character - it didn't rush and I was okay with that. Not everyone is. That said, as far as action is concerned, it does pick up.

You're not alone that you find this show boring. I also found it dull and uninteresting. I lasted a bit more than you though and it didn't get better (watched whole first season) and then gave up, couldn't endure it anymore. I was almost falling asleep when watching those episodes. Wish I didn't waste my time on it.

I’ve done that a time or two (with “Dexter” four times) before finally getting hook. Now, Dexter is one of my all-time favorites.
So; if you do try again, maybe this show will click for you the second time around.

I seem to remember it picking up in episode 4, so if you don't like it yet, you probably never will.
