Дискутуј о The Twilight Zone

Which do you think was better, and why? I personally favor TZ, partly because it has so much more variety and tends to be better written (e.g., the final narration at the end of "Walking Distance", which is one of my favorites). I feel that The Outer Limits tended to rely too much on monsters in too many episodes. But there were still some classic, unforgettable episodes such as "The Galaxy Being" (with Cliff Robertson), "The Sixth Finger" (with David McCallum) and "Demon With a Glass Hand" (with Robert Culp)--one of my favorites.

The Sixth Finger is my favorite episode.

I feel the twilight some wins. Aliens are fine, but it was overused in outer limits. I did enjoy the 90s series

I'm just curious, did you like the 1990s Outer Limits series better than the 1960s series? And if so, was it because it didn't rely so much on monsters?

Yeah I like the 90s series better. The stories were fresh, had atmosphere, some good effects, tension and more psychological approached to the themes being presented. It felt more well rounded

Rod Serling's writing pushed TZ over the top. Wonderful morality plays.

I adored Rod Seeking. In fact I saw a great episode yesterday about this really nasty guy who is convinced that his household are conspiring against him.

Would that be "Four O'Clock"?

@wonder2wonder wink No, Four O'Clock was the one where Nehemiah Pearsoff's character was an evil man who was going to punish Earth for all of it's horrible ways by doing something awful at Four O'Clock in the afternoon but ends of punishing himself instead.

If you mean his household appliances were conspiring against him, that episode was titled "A Thing About Machines".

That episode was a hoot! Nice appearance by Barney Phillips (Doc Kaiser from Twelve O'Clock High).

Classic The Outer Limits had some episodes that scared the hell out of me.
