Overview
艾之墓监狱舰在皇冠城附近坠毁，羁押着霸天虎囚犯的休眠舱四散各地。
丹尼和罗素父子俩住在皇冠城外，丹尼爱好收集二手机械物品，拥有一大片“废料场”。大黄蜂带领着一队年轻气盛的汽车人 - 循规蹈矩的学警铁腕、叛逆的横炮、自命不凡的恐龙机器钢锁、颇有喜感的迷你金刚黑面神，以该废料场作为基地，在父子俩的协助下，与逃出的霸天虎囚犯展开较量，将他们纷纷缉拿回舱。
大黄蜂一行人和丹尼父子在一次次作战中逐渐历练成一支训练有素、深度默契的团队，捍卫着地球的和平。整部动画将延续变形金刚系列所特有的风格，充满着动作场面而不失诙谐，为孩子们带来又一场正义的冒险之旅。
