Consequences of destroying the Rap ship

They took out the transport ship proving that yes indeed - the Raps' technology is just hardware, despite being advanced it is vulnerable and they can be beaten. Boy are they going to be pissed! Snyder looks he's figured out Bram was involved in the preview. Of course, he's got a little problem. Unless they can find a way to point the finger elsewhere his entire workforce (along with him) face termination with extreme prejudice. I think he inadvertently laid the groundwork for his own salvation when he made that call to the Governor General about Nolan's little unauthorized and improper visit to the facility. It must have been him who stole the access card that allowed the terrorist to gain access, while he was there. I expect we'll see Bram working with Snyder to sell that story to the Authority. Saving not only themselves, but the LA bloc as well. If it's just a matter of certain people turning traitor and working with the resistance, no need to kill everyone. Right?
There will still be consequences I'm sure. But the first shot has been fired in the war, and things will only get crazier from here. What does everyone else think will happen as a result of this successful strike against the aliens?

I guess it was both risky and necessary. Necessary to show the aliens as vulnerable to inspire greater resistance and risky because of the expected alien retaliation. As more people discover the time line that shows the elimination of the LA Colony population, they will be know resistance or escape are the only alternatives. Possibly escape is the plan for Season 3. The core family can explore life in other parts of the inhabited world and discover the aliens' ultimate plan for Earth. Possibly other regions are better able to offer resistance.

I was under the impression that the population drain was happening worldwide, and that the Raps don't plan on leaving anyone alive. I'm sure they've promised the "elite" collaborators that they alone will be spared to reboot the human race under alien guidance, or something like that. But they're suckers for buying it. Anyone with their head screwed on straight would realize they're just going to be the last ones marched to the showers before the lights in the camp are turned off for good.
Maybe the Bowman's will escape eventually. I think the question of survivors in the world outside the colonies has just become a lot more important to the story. We know Broussard and his group have developed a way of temporarily deactivating the Rap drones. They may try a strike against the drone "hives" inside the walls. Instead of cameras, you secure fuel-air aerosol explosive devices to the sides of a number of drones around the city, all at the same time. Then when they go back inside at the end of their patrol shifts ... BOOM! Or maybe Broussard will finally make contact with the Red Hand and be able to distribute his intel about the drones to the resistance worldwide. I have a feeling the Red Hand is directly connected to the shadow insurgency that's been hinted at among the Authority higher-ups. If you're going to fight the Raps, you want your first punch to be a knockout blow - or at least hurt them so much they no longer have the means to wipe you out. Otherwise you're basically committing suicide.
