On tonights episode they were cleaning up after closing. For some reason I thought this was a 24 hour store that never closed like Walmart.

Same here. I would just assume that any "superstore" is open 24 hours.

I think it was explained already in the first season.. i can't remember which episode it was but there's a scene where Garrett tries to urge people to leave as the store is soon going to close, yet people keep wandering in the store. And there's also an episode where they're locked in the store at night after work where Amy got drunk.. I never got the impression it was a 24 hour store..

True, Joan. I remember those things, now that you mention them.

Actually where I live most of the Walmarts aren't open 24 hours.

That's true, because I wasn't even thinking of the Marketplace stores. There are a few Walmart Marketplaces where I live that close at night, but the ones they call 'Superstores' stay open 24/7 here.

In my overall area of anywhere I can think of within hour or so driving distance, I believe every Walmart is open 24/7. I'm in an area of towns (no cities) and a lot of rural. So the Walmarts being open 24/7 comes in very handy, as often they're the only places you can buy anything (including OTC medicines, groceries, etc.) after 9p.m. Very convenient for night owls, shift workers, people with sick kids or other ill family members, etc.
