I know this may be out of nowhere, but I have been meaning to talk about this. Is anyone else tired with the Jaqobis, Foolish/Responsible Sibling thing. I havent been a fan of it since season 1 and it's partly why I found Davin to be favorite character, right next to Alvis. Yes I get it, Davin left when they were younger and Johnny stayed behind to handle the family drama. Im not denying that Johnny went through hell and likely would have some resentment toward him, but I find him constantly throwing that around every time D'avin does something he doesnt agree with annoying.

  1. Johnny chose to stay behind. If D'avin could leave to join the army, Johnny could have left to join an academy as soon as his mother passed away. It may sound harsh, but I am pretty sure she wouldn't have wanted him living with an abusive drunk for the rest of his life. There has been nothing that said Johnny couldn't have left that house on his own aside from his own morality and in that case, he needs to deal with his own choices, no matter how regretful he is of them.
  2. Does anyone else wonder whether Johnny was aware of all the borderline abuse Davin went through from his father. Seriously I havent heard of Johnny dealing with any incidents from his father except the alcoholism. All I've heard is about the jerk making Dav sleep in a cave, getting into physical fights and MAKING him join the army. All under that common term most abusive parents use to justify themselves, "toughening them up". It was already implied that the two were thick as thieves, so how could it not occur to Johnny that D'av either was forced to leave or had his own demons to deal with. Does he honestly think he would've left his little brother to suffer alone.
  3. Part of me thinks Johnny wouldn't care about the reason. This is cause he seems to blame people for stuff they have little control over. D'av leaving may be one thing, but D'av showing back up was cause Johnny tracked him down. I don't recall D'av choosing to join his team, and he knows damn well he didn't attack him and Dutch on purpose. And then there was the time he had the gall to yell at that kid from the space academy for leaving his brother, knowing full well that the school was forcing kids from their homes. As for the whole sleeping with Dutch thing, it is just not his to dictate. He knows she does not need him to tell her who she can hook up with. Someone needs to tell him that even his loved ones are not going to base every decision they make on how it'll effect him and he needs to deal with it. I hope that after he left the two, Johnny will try harder to understand D'av's position that day and I hope they meet the father so they can finally make Johnny see how dramatic he has been.
