The actions, or inaction, of the stadium residents were very frustrating to watch. They already knew that Ennis's group had gathered up all the zombies, so they would have known by that point what was contained in all the trucks. Why, then, did they never open fire to try to prevent the trucks from being opened in the first place. Also, there was nothing to prevent Alicia from simply driving away instead of sitting in the middle of an obvious trap. The oil had not yet been lit, and even after it was, I'm not convinced that it would have been a sufficient barricade for the car.

If not before, Alicia should have driven away as soon as the zombies were released. She may have even been able to blast the horn to lead them away from the stadium. They already established earlier in this episode that they knew of multiple roads to the stadium that they could have circled back after getting far enough ahead of the horde. They also had a radio to let Madison and company know what they were doing. There's no reason that they should have let their car be overtaken and surrounded by the zombies.

Can anybody clear up the parking lot situation for me?

Nick, Alicia and Mel are trapped in the car. Ultimately they are saved by Madison, Victor and Luciana. But in the mid-season finale Alicia explained, Mel got away in the car (Strand: "Mel took it")!? When Madison is shown, getting back into the stadium and locking herself in, as we are shown, N+A are still in a car at that moment. Am I missing something here?

Alicia: "They cleared a path for us"... Luciana: "We didn't have a car to escape in...". Then which car were they in and why were Strand and Luciana there too? And why didn't they then drive back to, or with, Madison? Why and how, if they were surrounded, did Nick and Alicia get out of the car in the first place (so Mel could take it)?

I was a little confused by the narration and depiction of the stadium as well. The convoy had me puzzled. They pulled out and couldn't drive anywhere because the horde was in the way. The characters seemed to indicate that all the rest of the stadium residents died because the convoy was stuck, but that is not consistent with the way that characters have been using cars for shelter since the main series started. At the very least, it seems the people in the convoy would be able to escape their vehicles and flee on foot after Madison led the zombies into the stadium. They may have gone in separate ways after that, but they should have been just as safe as the main characters.

The only reason the convoy people should have died is if they tried to foolishly escape their vehicles and fight their way through the crowd.

I did feel like the stadium sequence of events was jumbled. I guess all that really matters is who got out and who didn't. Has it been confirmed definitively that Madison is dead, or just strongly suggested as such?

Oops, I see online the showrunners have confirmed Madison's death. I'm not sure I will continue. Maybe its time to be done with the franchise after A Lincoln leaves TWD.

[I think that is what killed IMDB. The moderators over there were getting hassled by the snowflakes who demanded they banish people they disagreed with. It was almost funny, but not really. I heard from people over there who became very ugly all because I didn't like something about an actor's performance or about a show. It's one thing to say "I disagree with that opinion, and here is why...". That is fine. But some of those people simply launched into personal attacks and messages to the moderators. I believe the moderators finally got fed up with dealing with that stuff.

The trolls killed IMBD. It was so bad on some pages that I didn't even bother to comment. The Game of Thrones page was a good example. Anyone who dared disagree with the self appointed experts was ruthlessly targeted. There was a group that would gang up on individuals that they didn't like. Some of them came here after the IMDB demise, but none are here anymore. Maybe they didn't get what they wanted, or maybe the moderators of this board got rid of them. I think it is monitored more aggressively than IMDB was.

There was some discussion on this site when the boards were added right after IMDB boards shut down. The site owner solicited ideas from members. I recall one girl suggested that moderation could be done essentially by voting of the members. Basically she wanted her band of trolls to be able to censor opinions they didn't like. HA. That would have been the end of this site. Thankfully the site owner chose no censorship. I think the trolls didn't want to stay here without the power to shut down voices they didn't agree with; that's my guess anyway.

I am still not clear on why Alicia blamed Naomi for her mother's death. Was it because Naomi ran from the walkers, because she left the stadium?

I wonder if she thinks Naomi was a vulture all along.

"a vulture"? Is that a term for a lady who preys on people in some way?

I get that Alicia blames Naomi for her mother's death, but I missed the connection, I missed her reasoning. I think it had something to do with Naomi leaving the stadium with or after those other people left when they feared it wouldn't stand up to the mass of walkers. But I don't see how that could be the whole reason. Why single out Naomi from all the others who left if that was it? So it must be something else, or at least more than that. Do you know the reason?

I might have to watch it again.

One definition for vulture is "a contemptible person who preys on or exploits others" - named so for the bird. Within the show, "the Vultures" is the name of the group led by Mel and Ennis who sent Charlie into the stadium as a spy. They are called that because they wait around and scavenge resources after various communities either collapse or merge with the Vultures for their own survival.

My understanding of why Alicia was angry with Naomi is that seeing her with the Vultures made Alicia think that she was one of them the whole time. This seems to have triggered a mental break after losing her entire family, but it still seems like a weak motive for being so focused on killing Naomi. I don't remember anything connection between Naomi's actions and the trap that Ennis set up for the stadium with Madison ultimately sacrificing herself.

Thanks. That all makes sense. I somehow missed that group being called the vultures, but it fits them perfectly. They sit and wait for others to die in order to take their stuff. (I think they had the little girl sabotage their crops too, to speed things along.)
