For those who have read the above: does anyone else think that that novel might have lent itself better to a tv series? High Castle is a more-than-competent novel but not the most satisfying plot-wise. I don't like some of the things the series has excised or reworked from the book, but I do like some of the things that are wholly its own. I feel the story the show runners are telling could have been adapted more easily from the Sinclair work. . Perhaps they should have combined the better elements of each? Or maybe it could have worked as a sort of prequel to the events in High Castle. Has anyone read it or both books? What do you all think?

The "Man in the High Castle" TV thing used Philip K. Dick's concept but not his plot. The book's plot was mainly designed to show what that world was like and it meandered a lot. I wasn't surprised to see that the TV show invented a different story line.
