that a broadcast network even tried to take on Constantine. A show like that could only thrive on a premium channel.

Yeah, I wanted to like this, but it just didn't work for me. A darker version on HBO or Showtime may have improved it.

I love the show, but I too am surprised NBC decided to pick it up. I missed it when it was actually on the air and have only seen it on disc, but I have to believe in the very least there was a "viewer discretion advised" warning before each airing. Even so, this is pretty gory and graphic even for 10:00 on network TV...which is the time slot I assume it was on.
