Overview
Serija prati borbu protiv kriminala u Gotham Cityju u godinama prije pojave Batmana. Radnja se vrti oko mladog detektiva Jamesa Gordona, a započinje istragom ubojstva Thomasa i Marthe Wayne. U seriji se Gordon susreće s nekim već poznatim kriminalcima (Fish Mooney, Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin), a pratit će i priče likova koji će kasnije postati Batman, Riddler, Catwoman, Two-Face, Joker i Poison Ivy.

As the city’s heroes try to gain control and salvage what’s left of the deteriorating city, it teeters between good and evil, even as new villains, including the iconic Bane are introduced.
