In all honesty, if the first two seasons were 10s out of 10, this one was a 7. Not BAD, per se, but it was undoubtedly the most uneven, and had the worst characters thus far. The finale was fine. It was all just fine. The premiere, the LA episode and the bowling alley episode were all pretty great, but this story played frequently on dumb luck, dumb characters, and logical flaws, and not even THOSE episodes are perfect.

There's still the mystery with the framed stamp posters in Emmit's office and the fake moustache. Also when Emmit woke up in his house after being knocked out, he had a stamp on his forehead (I thought this one to be overkill to be honest). Any ideas? A Rabbi and a kitten on a clandestine mission hanging pictures..?

I have no idea, they did not give me enough scenes with him to really conclude what was REALLY going on with him. That's why I said they should have EXPANDED on that more- made MORE of that storyline with him.

Whatever the case may be, the WRITERS also displayed their GUILT about having done so, by speaking about what they'd done in interviews, where they tried to WARN others not to get upset with them for having done so.

Have the WRITERS/PRODUCERS of this show also done the same thing and tried to defend themselves in interviews they've done about this show?

Nope, it wasn't me. But I mentioned that someone told me there was a rumor about scenes that were edited out. I've googled and can't find anything of the sort. I did read something in the NY Times where one of the lesser-known producers of Fargo said that he loved the finale because it was "of the moment". Really? They gave us Varga salivating over his business take over again, and again and then again. They kept hitting us over the head with it. We got it, he's bad. And then the finale gave us nothing but maybe he got locked up and maybe he didn't. It's a personal choice of the viewer as to what you want to believe. Enough with your artsy-fartsy Schrodinger's cat and philosophies Fargo, give us something entertaining, that's all. If you can't do both, I can get some economic texts and polish up on my Camus without you.

That scene with Kevin looked like he didn't even know he was president of the US. What was that? Is Hotel Land for real or do they not address it? I'm sure Twin Peaks is fun, I remember the original. The only way I can get it is to buy an app from Amazon Prime for Showtime and I've read that the hook-up is poor or doesn't work at all. I may wait til the season is over and purchase it then.

Sorry Invidia, I tried but shot to shot is too difficult. They keep yapping and it takes too long to get to the next shot. I like the weirdness of Lynch's off-kilter scenes. And when he does something comedic it's better to see it first hand. Maybe I'll try the app.

I throw a fit when things are left too open in movies and shows because even if I like to think of myself as something of a philosopher, I expect to be entertained by others, not to be left doing the hard work myself. That's just lazy writing.

I agree totally with this, I can use my own imagination, but just don't throw in characters and situations (that they make you believe are important) without expanding and following through with them.
