In a new interview with THR, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf spoke about all things FX related including the possibly of Fargo ending after this season. Here is what Landgraf had to say about Fargo’s future:
“There may never be another Fargo. Unless Noah has an idea for Fargo that he thinks he can make as good as the prior three. I think once people get to the end of this [season] they will find that it is thematically different. It’s really about the moment we live in now.”

Peter Gould, one of the writers behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul would be perfect for the job. In BCS the atmosphere reminds me a lot of Fargo and the constant feeling that there's a dark cloud hanging over everyone.

Well, they finally aired another season, but I gave up on it fairly early. It just didn't do it for me, I guess. Maybe I'm just getting tired of all the gratuitous violence.

I think season 4 was definitely the weakest season so far. It really wasn’t bad. It had its moments. The violence doesn’t really effect me either way. I just think the quality of writing and story telling wasn’t quiet up to par with the first 3 seasons. They didn’t really tackle anything new and didn’t do the old stuff as well as in the past. I think season 5 should be the last season. 5 seasons is a good run.

I think each series has got progressively worse. Series 4 was poor in my opinion, a bunch of tedioius monologues by windbags, undiverting characters and some toe curlingly bad direction/acting from the Italian brother from the old country.
