These boards are practically empty sadly, but I'm here to help, Lydia works at the big company Madrigal Global over in Sweden iirc, this is where Gus gets his big "electrical" and "chemicals" goods from. The barrels of methylamine he gets from that company through Lydia is the special chemical that makes the meth blue giving it it's signature brand.
I can walk around my entire house looking for something I'm holding in my hand, but that I remember, I got bad wiring.

I don't think that's what made Walts Meth blue. Walts cook did. Remember others got the same barrels and couldn't get remotely close to purity that Walt/Jesse did.

Yes it was Walter that produced the clear blue meth with his cook which everyone wanted to buy it and is why Gus wanted the recipe.
SPOILER for those who haven't seen BB. Lydia is the one Walter killed at the end with ricin. He put it in one of the sugar sachets she uses. Also remember the gang that killed Hank? She was doing busness with the guy that looks like a blond Matt Damon after Walter quit. He couldn't get the drugs to Walt's standard so that is why they kidnapped and tortued Jessi to cook for them so they could get the drugs looking clear blue. He also had a huge crush on her. She is evil!! But it will be interesting to see what she was like pre- BB.
