Not sure, but I think Chuck did a good job explaining to his lawyer pals that his condition was cutting edge and not yet understood or classified. They seemed old enough to buy his parallel to AIDS/HIV. So it would just be a case of doctor said, lawyer said, and the lawyers would side with their own. Chuck needed to sink his own ship and thankfully he did.

Because like the judges said, trial isn't wasn't about Chuck's competency, it was about Jimmy. So any evidence that focused on Chuck being incompetent in anyway wasn't admissible just court. Jimmy and Kim had to find a way around that. And the only reason Jimmy and Kim were allowed to go as far as they did was because they tricked the judges into believing that their line of questioning would somehow defend Jimmy's crime. It didn't. Lol

I felt sorry for Chuck.

I just don't understand the pro Chucks out there and I'm surprised at how many folks have an affinity for him over Jimmy, to me that is straight up blasphemy! Everyone has their fav's, but I just don't identify with Chuck at all he is so incredibly inconsiderate, ooh I just hate him, but he's a large part of the show so I'll tolerate him. Chuck is like my Hank on BrBa, I wished for a horrible death for Hank so bad so many times that when it finally happened it was anticlimactic totally. Something similar will probably play out like that on this show. Not to take away from Michael McKean as an actor because he's really been excellent and I feel I should give him a nod despite my hate for his character.

Chuck is a good guy. I'm starting to like him again. I can't see Chuck doing anything for which would get him caught up the way Jimmy did in Breaking Bad. Chuck wouldn't have to hide his identity. Now that we know the reasons Chuck set up Jimmy with the recording and is trying to have Jimmy disbarred, I really hope that nothing too bad happens to Chuck.
