I think someone changed a bunch of stuff for season 9. I see the order has changed.

I have fixed the season 9 airdates just before Christmas.

I remind all users that the dates that should be used are the dates of the broadcast on Nickelodeon US.

@pmisley , for which episode do you think that the date is wrong ?

Cat Pack - Rubble and Wild and Yarn Ball Cat Pack - Skye and Rory Flip It Cat Pack - Marshall, Leo and a Ferris Wheel Cat Pack - Everest, Shade and the Mountain Goat

These are considered shorts and not normal episodes.

Even if they are shorter than normal episodes, they were broadcasted during the course of the 9th season and should be listed as such.

Can you provide me the details of where you pull the US based Nickelodeon schedule for past Paw Patrol episodes? It's always boggling to me how so many different databases can all be different.

Personnally, I use the fandom which include nearly all airdates.

It's always boggling to me how so many different databases can all be different.

Each site has its own set of rules. Some sites use the production order, some sites use the absolute first date, some sites use another network...

So when looking at the archive for Nickelodeon, https://nickstory.fandom.com/wiki/July_8,_2022, "PAW Patrol Original 5s" is listed as a different show all together as seen in the Show column. We are technically dealing with two different shows here now.

PAW Patrol

PAW Patrol Original 5s

And the full episode list for "Paw Patrol Original 5s"

I have sent a message to another moderator. We will have to wait for his advice.

Personnally, I have just reorder already listed episodes based on the dates.

Appreciate you looking into it further. This to me seems no different than Storybots having:

  • Ask the StoryBots
  • StoryBots Super Songs
  • StoryBots Laugh, Learn, Sing
  • StoryBots: Answer Time

They are all different shows although their air dates overlapped in places.

It looks like the Shorts (aka Original 5s) already has a listing on TMDB as well https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/116875-paw-patrol-shorts

Here is the answer received from @raze464 :

If you go to this Nickelodeon archived schedule from April 1, 2020 and then use the arrows next to the date to go to Friday, April 3, there's a 5-minute short called "Charged Up: Pups vs a Copy Cat Marshall" airing at 9:30 am as an episode of "Paw Patrol Original 5s." But if you expand the episode details, it's numbered S E102. The first 12 shorts Wikipedia lists as being part of "Paw Patrol Original 5s" are listed as S E101 - S E112 on the archived schedules I found.

They were listed, or at the very least the first short was listed, on the main Paw Patrol website (the short is the one with the dogs in green and blue suits in thumbnail) so they seem to not have gotten a separate page on the Nick Jr. website, the criterion for a separate entry on TMDB. The Paw Patrol: Shorts entry pmisley linked should be deleted.

Those 12 shorts are also already listed in the main entry as specials 3-10 and 12-15.

I have not been able to find anything that mentions that the episodes pmisley is reporting (“Cat Pack - Rubble and Wild and Yarn Ball," "Cat Pack - Skye and Rory Flip It," "Cat Pack - Marshall, Leo and a Ferris Wheel," and "Cat Pack - Everest, Shade and the Mountain Goat”) were aired as part of "Paw Patrol Original 5s."

The one from July 15, "Cat Pack - Skye and Rory Flip It," is presumably the 5-minute content simply labeled as "Paw Patrol" with no other information that aired at 12:00 pm (link to archived July 15 schedule). All four episodes appear on the schedule as "Paw Patrol" content with no other information.

I have ask him a follow-up question asking if the 4 reported episodes should be moved to the special season with the others and am waiting for his answer.

I will wait to have a complete answer before removing the separately listed series.

I did send this long explanation. Don't know why it didn't occur to me to reply that directly here.

I kept looking for the four shorts after sending that long explanation reply and I honestly haven't been able to find neither the individual shorts nor the combined episode that aired on Aug. 5 on the Nick. Jr. website. The website lists "Pups Save the Floating Goodways/Pups Save the Portable Pet Wash" as the last episode of Season 8 and "Big Truck Pups - Pups Stop a Flood" as the first actual episode of Season 9 ("Liberty Makes a New Friend/Pups Save the Pup Pup Boogie Contest" from March 25, 2022 was numbered S09E01 but it was aired during the course of Season 8 so it should be listed in Season 8 instead).

Seeing as the four shorts might have initially aired with no episode information and then were combined to form a half-hour episode, neither of which I've been able to find on various archived versions of the website, maybe really were just shorts, not short episodes, and should probably be moved to the specials season.

@pmisley the StoryBots shows are different and should definitely have their own entries as Netflix has very clearly given them separate pages here, here, here, and here. The first 12 "Paw Patrol Original 5s" shorts were likely added to the main Paw Patrol website, as mentioned in my reply quoted by @superboy97.

I finally had the time to move them to the specials season.

The separate series for the shorts has also been removed.
