When/at what point did you conclude/suspect that Laurie was planning to “give up the ghost”?
For me it was when she had been sitting on the steps talking with Kevin, got up to leave, and he tried to give Jill’s lighter back to her. She said something on the order of: “you keep it, I quit”. Just the way she said “I quit” had me thinking MAYBE.
After she had rummage through the sewer to reclaim it, and fought Nora as hard as she did to get it back, just didn’t seem likely that she would so casually give it away…not even to Kevin.

Give up the ghost - An expression that means: To cease living or functioning; die.
Also, my question wasn't about Kevin, or about what Laurie did, or did not, want for Kevin.
The question I asked is when...in this episode...did YOU know or suspect or have an inkling that Laurie was going to kill herself.

Young!? Didn't see anything about anyone commenting on Jill and Tommy sounding young. Even so, I doubt it...Jill dropped enough "F" bombs to send a shipload of sailors scurrying for cover! There was NOTHING young-sounding about that!
Also, she asked Laurie about Kevin and Nora being in Australia...so that pretty much blows that young-theory out the water.
But, you did answer my question...so thanks for that.

And you sound like someone who doesn't even watch the show. TOO, TOO MANY FACTUAL ERRORS - AND TOO, TOO MANY HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE COMMENTS!

To me, when she said she quit, not taking the lighter back is when I felt she was given in to die. Don't care if I'm wrong, but I don't think she's coming up from Scuba alive. Not sure if we see her when Kev goes under or not. From her interview outside of the show, it seems pretty clear she's dead. But this show is testing my logical predictions, LOL

Don't know either...expect we will (but, DL is all about doing the unexpected)...hope so anyway. Kevin said he wanted her to be happy; maybe in seeing her he'll know she found there what she couldn't find in-her-other-life.

I got suspicious when Laurie had a significant look on her face after Nora's scuba suicide story. Still, though, I was surprised to see that end scene.
Part of me hoped that she was just going underwater to swim out the big flood. heh. Should have thrown in random caps in that sentence.

Well…
Didn’t I FLUB that one?
Good thing I’m not a betting person…I would have been out of some money.
I thought everything about her body language, demeanor, actions and words toward the end pointed to her deciding to pack it in; especially considering the opening sequence of the episode… but I was oh so wrong.
I want to say that DL led us to water; but wouldn’t let us drink...but, it’s probably more about ME; that is, reading more into things than was actually there.
On the bright side, it's one of the times I don't mind being wrong.
